Two burglars were challenged by an elderly householder after breaking into a property in Wymondham.
Detectives are investigating the burglary that happened in Gunton Road between 7.30pm and 8pm on Saturday when two men used a ladder to enter the property through an open upstairs window.
The intruders were challenged by the resident, a man in his 80s, before leaving empty handed.
The suspects were white and were wearing dark clothing.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed two men acting suspiciously in the area around the times stated.
