Elderly driver suffers slight scratch to the knee after car ends up in Shipdham ditch

An elderly female driver suffered a slight scratch to her knee after her car flipped onto its roof after going into a ditch in Shipdham, near Dereham, police said.

Police were called to the accident, near the junction of the A1075 and Mill Road, at 8.26pm last night, Tuesday July 10, while a fire crew from Dereham and an ambulance also attended.

A police spokesman said the lady was the only person in the green Mazda, and was breathing, conscious and not bleeding when they arrived.

A fire service spokesman said they spent about 10 minutes making the vehicle and the scene safe, but the lady was not trapped in the car.
