Hopes are high that the rain will clear in time for the Winterton Primary School fete this evening (Friday).
The fete will be held from 6pm to 8.30pm and will see the school's headmaster in the stocks, entertainment from singers and a range of children's games.
There will also be strawberries and cream, a beer tent, barbecue and more.
