Trainee teachers got a taste of real school life when they visited Downham Market Academy and picked up ideas for their future careers.
The trainees from the University of Suffolk at West Suffolk College on the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) course were delighted to be able to experience a range of lessons from year 7 to year 13.
Course director Jacqui Howard said: 'We have been lucky enough to have one of our trainees placed at Downham Market Academy for her teaching practice this year and her experiences have been invaluable.
'We were keen for the other trainees to visit a different placement setting so we are incredibly grateful to the academy for welcoming the whole group and providing such an excellent insightful day.'
The school's head of ITT, Diana Turnbull, added: 'One of the delights of this job is the ability to welcome new teachers, and I know they will be well supported to become exceptional teachers.'
