Dozens of Norfolk youngsters perfected their batting swing during a day of kwik cricket finals.

The 160 children from around the county took part in another day of the Norfolk Summer School Games finals, which began on Monday and continue this week.

The five-day festival of sport will see 2,200 young people involved, taking part in sports ranging from angling to athletics.

On Tuesday, it was the kwik cricket finals at Horsford Cricket Club, with year five and six teams competing for their School Sport Partnership (SSP).

It came down a final match of children from Brooke against those from St William’s, in Thorpe St Andrew, with youngsters from Brooke Primary School, in the South Norfolk SSP, crowned victorious.

Wednesday will see another 160 primary school students take part in their athletics final, with events held at the University of East Anglia and Norfolk commonwealth star Iona Lake due to visit pupils.
