A Norwich student with dreams of a career in engineering has been awarded a prestigious scholarship.
Theodore Lorenc, a year 12 student at Notre Dame High School, was awarded an Arkwright Scholarship in November, one of 425 given out nationally.
The award will be sponsored by the John Jarrold Trust, which will fund textbooks, materials and experiences for Theodore and support Notre Dame with funds to develop its science, design and technology, engineering science, computing and maths teaching.
Caroline Jarrold, a trustee, said: 'It was a privilege to meet Theodore and learn more about his plans and ambitions for the future. The award gives him tremendous opportunities to further his engineering interests and I know that he will make the very best of them.'
She said Theodore was the 22nd scholar to have been supported by the trust.
