It is aimed at five-11-year-olds and the weekly day-long sessions will start on Monday July 30 and finish on Friday August 31.

Mother-of-two Mrs Whiley, 41, from Poringland, a teacher of 18 years, said the weekly sessions offered social and educational opportunities for children as well as holiday support for working parents.

Holidaycare activities will include den building, mask making, baking, nature trails, sports and athletics, orienteering, craft activities, storytelling sessions and jewellery making.

A free taster session for Endeavour Holidaycare will be taking place at the hotel, on Stoke Road, Caistor St Edmund, on Saturday April 28, from 9.30am-11am.

Mrs Whiley said: 'It is important to support childcare for working parents during the holidays.

'I want to offer, not just sports, but some extra curricular activities so that children can continue developing throughout the summer.'

The teacher, who grew up in Norfolk and taught in King's Lynn for 10 years and near Downham Market for three years, would offer educational advice to parents.

She will also be supported by qualified, experienced and CRB checked teaching assistants and sports coaches.

Mrs Whiley added the activities would incorporate all subjects covered at school in a fun and creative way.

'I'm trying to tailor it for as many children as possible. It will be very sociable,' she said.

The activities will take place outside on the 30-acre hotel grounds and under a covered marquee.

Nicola Durrant, sales and events co-ordinator for Caistor Hall Hotel, said: 'It is a very good idea.'

Parents can watch the free taster session.

The summer sessions take place from Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4pm. Timings can be flexible.

They can be booked on a day-to-day basis or per week.

Weekly sessions cost £150 (if booked early or paid on a weekly basis) or £175. Healthy snacks are included.
