KES Academy sixth form students got into the spirit of giving at Christmas by collecting bags of sugar for The Sugar Appeal.
The King's Lynn school collected 280kg of sugar along with canned food and biscuits to be distributed to homeless shelters across Norfolk and Suffolk over the winter period.
The appeal is organised by Norfolk-based charity The Buckingham Food Appeal (BEFA) which supports shelters for the homeless and families in crisis to provide vital energy in food and hot drinks.
Every donation is matched by British Sugar, and in 2016 the charity collected and distributed six tonnes of sugar.
The school would like to thank those who donated and to Morrisons Supermarket in King's Lynn for donating 40kg as well as Tesco Gaywood who also gave a donation.
They give a special thanks to Miss Jody Walters and her form, who worked hard to achieve this total.
