Engineering, self-confidence and the rise of technology and creative industries were explored by three teenagers at a major public talk.
Finn Sagrott, 15, from Lowestoft, Natasha Godfrey, 14, from Thetford, and Lily Lawlor, 15, from Watton, were the guest speakers at the sold-out TEDxNorwichED event.
They spoke in front of 300 people at The Space on Rountree Way, Norwich.
The talented trio took part in the Take Your Place project which teaches students from Thetford Academy, University Technical College Norfolk in Norwich and Wayland Academy in Watton.
It is funded by Camouflaged Learning and encourages students to step outside their comfort zone and promotes confidence and resilience.
From this workshop three students were chosen out of 250 teenagers to prepare for a talk at the TEDxNorwichED junior event at The Space.
Daniel Hall, Take Your Place higher education champion, said: 'The Take Your Place project is all about raising aspirations for students in East Anglia to go on to further study after secondary school.
'The students, and by association parent community, have a much better understanding of study after school as a result of the experiences of Finn, Tasha and Lily.'
Finn, from University Technical College Norfolk, spoke of his passion for renewable energy and engineering. He also talked about teenagers becoming disconnected with the real world because of an addiction to video gaming.
His father said: 'Finn is determined to become an engineer and sharing his views in this way is great for his confidence.'
Natasha, from Thetford Academy, spoke on confidence building and having a belief in yourself.
The budding drama student said: 'My advice to anyone wanting to push their boundaries is to use the support of people around them.'
Lily, from Wayland Academy, spoke about technology and the creative industries surrounding digital and modern advancements in the 21st century.
Her talk included trying new things and how this would lead to skills and career opportunities.
She said: 'I know I can do it, it's just scary seeing how many people are here.'
The teenagers were mentored by Matt Bagley from Camouflaged Learning.
