On December 16, the academy hosted its annual Christmas Fayre. Stalls included traditional tombola, Christmas themed cakes and decorations and Venture's very own lollipop trees. They raised three delivery loads of food donations throughout the day through the generous support shown.

Parents and the local community worked in conjunction with the union of Venture students and student council to collate raffle prizes and organise other stalls such as face-painting and a chocolate fountain.

Raffle prizes included a fully paid place on the Italy trip for students in years 9-11, tickets to a Norwich City FC match, a free ride to the prom, leisure and entertainment passes and beauty treatments, to name a few.

The choir sang their hearts out to traditional carols while busy elves ensured the day ran smoothly.

Principal Mr Gilbert-Barnham said: 'Our Christmas Fayre is about bringing our local community together. It is always fantastic to see students, parents and the community in partnership, creating a spectacular day. Between the craft, bakes, choir singing, raffles and competitions there was truly something for everyone. I would love to thank all involved for making Venture shine with the festive spirit.'
