Make Your Mark is the largest youth consultation in the UK, run by the UK Youth Parliament. From August 12 until October 10, young people throughout the country will be asked what issues matter most to them, to determine what is debated by the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) in the House of Commons on November 14.

The top issue in the survey will become the UK Youth Parliament's campaign issue for next year, and Norfolk's nine Members of Youth Parliament (MYP) will work hard to resolve this issue locally.

Voting is taking place both online and through printed ballot papers in schools, youth organisations and other places.

There are 10 topics available to choose from the Make Your Mark ballot paper, and the five most popular topics are debated and discussed by MYPs in a debate in November. This is chaired by the speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, and will be broadcast live on the BBC Parliament channel.

Last year, UK Youth Parliament gathered the opinions of 478,000 young people, making it the largest youth consultation of its kind in the UK. This year, MYPs in the UK would like to reach a target of 1,000,000 young people taking part, to double the year before.
