A month-long consultation into the proposed merger of Easton College with Suffolk's Otley College begins today.

An official merger document with all the details of the proposal is now available at www.easton-college.ac.uk, setting out the benefits the merger of the two land-based colleges could bring.

The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) will then consider all the responses to the consultation and other information before making a decision to go ahead with the proposal.

David Lawrence, principal at Easton College, based on the western outskirts of Norwich, said: 'This is now the time for people to tell us their views on any aspect of the proposal they wish to highlight and we hope many people will do so.'
