A Norwich high school has officially joined a new academy trust.
It was announced in September that City Academy Norwich (CAN) would move from the Transforming Education in Norfolk (TEN) Group to Bohunt Education Trust, after a string of poor exam results.
Now, final ministerial approval has been granted and, on July 16, the school left the TEN Group after nine years.
Sue Guest, chairman of the group, said the school had undergone a 'significant transformation' in that time, including a new £21m building, improved behaviour and results.
Neil Strowger, chief executive at the Bohunt Education Trust, said it marked an 'important new episode' for the school and trust and that strategies were in place to continue the work already taking place.
The current CAN school uniform will be kept for the 2018/19 year.
