An exhibition of packaging designs for Japanese liquor sake have marked a collaboration between students in Norwich and the Asian country.
Students from Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) were given the same brief as those from Japan's Nagaoka Institute of Design (NID), in the first project of a partnership between the two.
Martin Schooley, course leader in graphics at NUA, had asked students to consider how they would package sake for a UK audience.
The exhibition at The Crypt Gallery in Norwich's Cathedral Close saw five students from NID travel over to see the work produced by their NUA counterparts.
Professor Kimihiko Nagase, from NID, said it was an 'intensely symbolic moment' to use sake as the main theme for the collaboration.
The showcase runs until March 3, with the gallery open on weekdays from 11am to 4pm and from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.
