A legendary Dwile Flonking team departed the world championships undefeated and unchallenged after their opponents failed to turn up.
Dwile flonking sees teams of eight to 10 players form a circle and jump up and down, whilst an opponent stands in the middle and uses a stick to throw dripping towels at them.
The annual championships were being held yesterday (Saturday, August 12) at Ludham's Dog Inn pub, but the Flippin Pippin Flonkers - travelling from Coventry - arrived to find a distinct lack of fellow flonkers.
Having been crowned world champions three times since the inaugural event in 2010, the midlanders had been hoping to have their flonking skills tested.
Sue Hancock, one of the founding organisers of the championships, said: 'The world champions turned up to defend their title, but nobody else fancied flonking.
'Next year there will be more local teams involved.'
Flippin Pippin returned to Coventry as undisputed dwile flonking champions of the world.
