Driver injured after crash near Wymondham

A driver was taken to hospital with a head injury after leaving the road and crashing into a tree near Wymondham.

Emergency services were called to the B1172 London Road at Suton just after 1pm today after the single vehicle collision involving a Peugeot car.

Two fire crews from Wymondham and Attleborough attended after the casualty was trapped in the car for almost an hour.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the injured person was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with a head injury.

The road was not closed.

The collision comes a week after a three men were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash between a Ford Mondeo and Citroen Saxo on the B1172 at 7.40pm on February 22 close to the junction with Eleven Mile Lane, Suton.
