A 20 year old motorist was left shaken after almost being ambushed by two men on a woodland road at Mildenhall.The victim was driving along Brandon Road on Wednesday between 7.

A good Samaritan was threatened by two men after stopping to help someone lying by the side of a woodland road at Mildenhall.

The 20-year-old motorist victim was driving along Brandon Road on Wednes-day between 7.15am and 7.50am when he saw a man lying by the side of the road, near to fire route 302.

The driver stopped to help, but as he approached, the man jumped up and faced him. A second man appeared from behind holding a metal pole.

Feeling threatened, the man ran back to his car, but as he drove away, one of the men kicked his blue Renault Clio car, causing damage to a side panel.

The first man was described as white, about 5ft 10inches tall, of stocky build, with a goatee style beard. He wore a green beanie hat, green wax jacket, green trousers and heavy duty black boots.

The second man was white, about 6ft 3inches tall, of skinny build, and had yellow teeth. He wore a blue and white chequered lumber jacket style top.
