Two people have been rescued from a car after a crash on the A149 at Catfield.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said a Honda had left the road and collided with a tree at around 6.20am this morning (Thursday).

The road was blocked in both directions between The Street and the New Road junction, and a diversion was put in place via the Catfield Industrial Estate.

The police spokesman said the driver suffered back injuries and a passenger had leg injuries.

Norfolk Fire Service was at the scene, and reportedly cut the roof off the car to rescue the pair.
