A rallying call was last night made to make the final days of the Dereham Festival a party to remember.

The town has been blessed with soaring temperatures and the event has given the town a real buzz with daytime and evening events mainly on a musical theme.

There are just three more days of events remaining and festival-goers can take their pick of tomorrow's Top Hat & Tales concert at Dereham Meeting Point at 2pm, and also tomorrow night an evening of Norfolk Squit with Sid Kipper and a concert by the award-winning Iceni Choir at Swanton Morley Church.

On Friday there is a medley of songs, music and light-hearted readings at the Assembly Rooms, starting at 11am, and a concert by the Broadland Youth Choir at Dereham Methodist Church at 7.30pm.

Saturday sees drumming, singing and dancing workshops during the day with the festival grand finale party night with the Sweetbeats at Dereham Town Football Club, starting at 8pm.

'Obviously we would have liked to have sold more tickets, but interest picked up as the event went on and people have said they have really enjoyed the events they have attended. I would urge people to get involved in the final days of the event and make it a finale party to remember,' said Mrs Sneesby.

She said that the festival organising committee was grateful for all the help people had given them in cash or in kind and praised the role of the volunteers without whose support the event could not happen.
