There were delays to train services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street due to a signalling system fault.
The fault between Ilford and Stratford meant that trains were running at a reduced speed on some lines towards London Liverpool Street.
The 10am service from London Liverpool Street only called at Ipswich and Norwich, the 12pm service from Norwich to London Liverpool Street was cancelled, as was the 2.30pm train from London Liverpool Street to Norwich.
All services returned to normal by 3pm.
