A cyclist was taken to hospital after an accident close to the ski centre in Trowse.

The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Whitlingham Lane just after 2.30pm today (Saturday) to reports that a cyclist had been hurt in a crash involving another vehicle.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: 'The patient was recovering in the first aid room at the ski centre on our arrival.

The caller had stated he had reduced levels of alertness and the crews assessed him for a head injury, as well as neck and facial injuries.

'It was decided that he be taken by land ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for further care.'
