The cast, crew and audience of a Cromer show have helped raise more than �2,000 for charity.

The audiences which attended the musical Me and My Girl last month along with the cast and crew of Me and My Girl, have raised �2,075.11 for The Norfolk Lymphoma Group.

The group supports not only those people who have this type of blood cancer, but also their families, and is a part of the National Lymphoma Association.

CSODS Chairman Mr. Andrew Payne, presented the cheque to Mrs Marguerite Russell from the Norfolk Lymphoma Group in the company of some of the actors who had so recently performed in the show.

The Cromer and Sheringham Operatic and Dramatic Society are already preparing for the next show, The Calendar Girls, which they will put on at the Sheringham Little Theatre from Tuesday, October 16 to Saturday, October 20.

At the show, they will be raising money for Leukaemia Research.
