A councillor and stalwart of a host of Cromer events is back at home as he recovers from suffering a severe spinal injury while working in his garden.
At Monday's town council, fellow members heard that Jim Bond had returned from a specialist spinal unit in Sheffield.
Members agreed unanimously to extend his leave of absence from the council to give him the time to continue his recovery.
Tony Nash said: 'It's very good news to know that Jim is back in Cromer. It's a real pleasure to hear that.'
As reported in May, Mr Bond, 61, fell from a bench while clipping a hedge in his garden at The Warren in Cromer on May 13. He had recently returned from a holiday in Japan and was seeking to emulate the nation's famous hedges by creating one in the shape of a cloud.
Mr Bond, an architect, is chairman of the New Year's Day fireworks committee and Cromer in Bloom. He is having a second spell as a town councillor and is a strong supporter of Cromer Christmas lights and the Coast and crab and lobster festivals.
