A distraught King's Lynn man could face losing his business - after thieves stole equipment worth up to £100,000 from his premises.
And now Aaron Reeve, 26, who owns specialist auto centre A.Reeve Performance, has been told by his insurance company they will not pay out because his premises did not have an alarm.
Mr Reeve, who set up his business three years ago, moved it from Austin Fields in Lynn to Oldmeadow Road on the Hardwick Estate last December.
He had booked an alarm to be fitted for this Friday, but three thieves broke in and raided his premises on Monday at around 4.10am.
Mr Reeve is so desperate to get his much-needed equipment back, he is offering a £1,000 reward for the return of the items and conviction of the thieves.
He said: 'To have started from nothing and to build the business up - and now to be hit by this - it's hard. Now knowing I am not going to get paid - its horrible. It's such a horrible feeling.'
The thieves stole specialist remapping and diagnostic equipment, tools, racing car tyres that are all used for cars made by BMW, Audi, Porsche and Mini.
And next-door, independent sign-writing company was also targeted - three brand new Ford Custom Transit vans were stolen and two iMacs, all together worth around £40,000.
Bill Johnson, who runs All Signs also moved to Oldmeadow Road from Austin Fields two months ago.
He said: 'We are distraught, we have lost a day's work yesterday which has caused a lot of inconvenience.'
Back in October last year, three thieves got away with thousands of pounds after four units were raided on the East Coast Business Park in West Lynn, however police are not linking the two incidents.
If anyone has information information on the burglary, contact King's Lynn Police Station on 101.
