A man has been assaulted in Beccles after trying to stop a frying pan theft.
The incident happened in New Market at 6pm on Wednesday, May 13, when a man went into a shop, picked up a frying pan, and left without paying for it.
The man was stopped outside the shop by a member of staff and when a second staff member joined them, the offender punched him on the back.
Nobody was injured.
Police want to find the man who is described as around 5ft 8in tall, in his late 20s, medium build, with short blonde hair which is shaven at the sides.
He has tattoos on his hands and was wearing three-quarter length jeans, black trainers and a dark hoody.
