A man arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving after a crash which left a cyclist in a critical condition in hospital has been released under investigation.
The arrest came after a crash in Norwich on Tuesday, at around 4pm, when a black Audi Q7 and a cyclist collided on Aylsham Road, close to Barclays bank and the Glenmore Gardens turning.
The rider of the bicycle was taken to Addenbrooke's hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
A man in his 30s, from the Norwich area, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, drug driving and dangerous driving. He was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.
