Team Awesome just added a famous face to its ranks.
For weeks messages of support have been sent in to 11-year-old Spixworth girl Maisie Lossau as she continues to battle a brain tumour.
And when X-Factor alumnus James Arthur came to the LCR this week he backed the campaign - with a little prompting from fan Katerina Christophi.
With the prospect of further treatment, the Lossaus asked the Facebook world to 'make Maisie smile again'. In around two weeks more than 200 messages have been sent from around the globe, from New York to Japan, and South Africa to Finland.
'It is just phenomenal how the power of social media works,' said Mrs Lossau. 'Maisie is completely blown away. She said as far as she is concerned she is just a normal girl in a normal city. She is going through hell and people want to support her. She doesn't understand why these strangers would want to do this for her.'
