A man has been charged with threatening behaviour after an incident involving a samurai sword in Cromer.
It comes after officers were called to Runton Road at 9.56pm on Wednesday following reports a man armed with a sword was being aggressive towards other men.
Local officers detained a man a short time later at 10.12pm on Church Street, outside the Albion pub, and he was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
The man was questioned at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre and has been charged.
Andrew Sinclair, 56 and of Runton Road, Cromer, is accused of threatening behaviour and possession an offensive weapon in a public place.
Sinclair was remanded in police custody and appeared via video link before Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday where he was further remanded in custody to appear before the courts on Friday September 22.
