Car fire causes disruption on A11 near Norwich

There was disruption for motorists on the A11 yesterdayfollowing a car fire.

Fire crews from Hethersett and Earlham were sent to a car fire at just after 4pm which resulted in one lane being closed and queuing traffic on the A11 northbound between the B1135 junction in Wymondham and the Thickthorn roundabout.

The fire was extinguished before the arrival of the brigade and the crews made the vehicle safe using hand appliances.
