Firefighters dealt with a blaze in a bungalow at George Street, Brandon.
Crews from Brandon, Thetford, Methwold and Ixworth were sent at about 8.50pm on Saturday and teams wearing breathing apparatus did a search of the property which was well alight to make sure no-one was inside.
After the fire was put out, they carried out ventilation and damping down of the bungalow.
