Crews from Aylsham, Cromer, Holt, North Walsham and Sheringham tackle cables blaze at Aldborough

Firefighters have left the scene after dousing a fire that broke out in overhead electricty cables at Aldborough.

The fire service was alerted to the blaze at 8.50am and sent appliances from Aylsham, Cromer, Holt, North Walsham and Sheringham.

They were joined by electricity officials as they battled the fire in the cables and a transformer at The Green.

It was put out using hosereel jets, and the area was clear by 10.15am.
