An anonymous 'Banksy of the Beach' style artist has owned up to making a wooden horse from storm debris on a north Norfolk beach.
The 'shore horse' sculpture was fashioned from wood and other materials scattered across the shoreline at Overstrand following the winter sea surge.
The News has tracked down the mystery man behind the creation - but he wanted to remain un-named, much like the graffiti artist Banksy, famous for his art in public places.
'It was a spontaneous thing, which took a couple of hours with a hammer, nails and saw.
'It was fun but has now gone, so I am glad photographs were taken to remember it by,' he added - and did not rule out doing another one.
The body was a skeleton of brightly-coloured planks from former beach huts reduced to matchwood by the storm waves.
A tree branch head was adorned with a mane of twigs, and a rope bridle, while frayed nylon fabric makes a swishing tail.
A breadbasket saddle, and tarpaulin cloth underneath are finished off with a child's plastic beach spade as a stirrup.
The finished animal looked like a cross between a mini wooden Trojan horse and one of the puppets from the War Horse stage show.
