Crash destroys bus shelter in Hellesdon

A bus stop was badly damaged after a car careered into it in the early hours of this morning.

The Volkswagen Golf hit the bus stop on the A140 Cromer Road in Hellesdon at around 5.10am.

Police tape was put around the stop near the junction with Waldemar Avenue on the city-bound side of the road.

It is not believed that anyone was seriously injured in the crash.
