A road accident at rush hour caused traffic congestion this evening at Alex Moorehouse Way, Costessey, this evening.
The accident, involving a Mini car and a lorry, happened shortly after 6pm at the roundabout close to Longwater Lane Retail Park and the Queens Hills housing development.
The woman driving the Mini was cut free by firefighters and treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to hospital by ambulance with what are understood to be minor injuries.
The road was blocked for some time and motorists heading home to Queens Hills were asked to park at the retail park and make the last part of their journey on foot.
