A 6ft length of copper gas pipe has been stolen from a property in Bungay.
The pipe went missing from the exterior of a building in Lower Olland Street around 2.30am this morning.
A neighbour was alerted after a security light went on and he looked out to see a male wearing a dark and light horizontal striped Puffa-style jacket. It is thought this may have been dark blue and white, or a similar light/dark combination, in thick bands across the body.
The male fled and the neighbour smelt gas and went to investigate. He found the gas pipe had been removed and another 6ft section had been ripped from the wall.
