Controlled explosions are set to be carried out at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk later today (Tuesday) after crystallized dynamite was discovered there.
The USAF said it was found during a routine safety inspection and there was no risk to base personnel or the local community.
It is coordinating the controlled explosions with the Ministry of Defence.
