The team that presents a comic pantomime every January in Wells are set to make their debut in the town's summer Carnival oh! yes they are.

Joyce Trett and her crew will be entertaining audiences next month as part of Wells Carnival Week.

And while some of their regular followers will not be surprised at anything the team comes up with, holidaymakers will be in for a treat with the hilarious and zany antics of the cast.

Mrs Trett, who is current chairman of North Norfolk District Council and well-known as an author of original pantomime scripts, said they wanted to give the summer Carnival audiences a taste of their mirthful mayhem.

“This is the first time that we have staged a panto revue as part of the Carnival events and it will be in the form of a series of sketches rather than our usual flown-blown pantomime. To add more variety there will also be music and song from the Wild Rovers group from Blakeney,” said Mrs Trett.

The panto revue is being presented on August 1 and 2 at the Maltings in Staithe Street. Tickets can be obtained from Martin's newsagents, Staithe Street.
