Great Yarmouth Borough Council is appealing to find the owner of a lost Galah Cockatoo, which was found by staff this morning on the roof of a council building in Greyfriars Way, Great Yarmouth.

The bird is currently being cared for by a volunteer staff member who keeps birds herself, but the borough council would like to re-unite the pet with its rightful owner.

There is a ring on its leg with an ID number.

Anyone who recognises the bird should contact Hilary Allen on Hilary.Allen@great-yarmouth.gov.uk or 01493 846363.
