Police say they have taken more Class A drugs off of Norfolk's streets.

Officers tweeted they had made one arrest and detained a person for further investigation today.

It came after a search warrant was carried out in Dereham.

Breckland police tweeted a picture of a number of bags of powder, along with plastic eggs and a quantity of cash seized in the raid.

They said the swoop was the latest to be carried out under Operation Gravity.

A spokesman added: 'Following an early morning raid in Dereham this morning, a male in his 40's has been questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, and released under investigation. A quantity of what is believed to be heroin has been seized and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

'This is part of an ongoing operation to disrupt and dismantle drug supply in the area whilst safeguarding the vulnerable.'

Gravity has seen more than 100 arrests made across the county since its launch in December 2016. Drugs worth thousands have been seized, along with knives and other weapons.

The so-called county lines campaign targets serious offenders who travel to Norfolk from London, Peterborough and other cities to sell drugs like heroin and crack cocaine.

Dealers often 'cuckoo' vulnerable drug users, taking over their homes to sell from.
