The United States Air Force have confirmed they are investigating reports a laser was shone at one of their F-15 Eagle fighter jets at RAF Lakenheath.

It is thought the incident occurred last night as the jet approached for landing, and the base are now looking to firm up reports.

No further details have been released, and it is not thought Suffolk Police have received any reports from the air base yet regarding the incident.
