A Wymondham-based charity has been given a financial boost following the donations of customers at the Sportspark in Norwich.
Staff from the University of East Anglia centre presented 700 to cancer charity Star Throwers after users made small donations to charity in return for copies of the EDP and Norwich Evening News.
The volunteer-run charity was formed two years ago by Henry Mannings, an honorary senior lecturer in medicine at the UEA, and supports and advises people affected by cancer.
Keith Nicholls, director of the Sportspark, said: 'Star Throwers is an inspirational organisation doing a wonderful job of helping care and support for local people and their families when they need it. I'm very pleased we are able to support such a community focused project, thanks to the money raised by our generous customers.'
