A Great Yarmouth brewery has been hailed as being among the top of the hops on the international stage.Brewers at Lacons will be raising glasses and toasting success, after its beers picked up accolades in both the International Brewing Awards and the National Independent Beer Awards.
Flagship ale Encore was awarded a gold medal in its category at the International Brewing Awards, while Old Nogg - a newly launched heritage ale based on an beer originally brewed in 1926 - took away a bronze.
Another of is brews, Audit Ale, received a silver award at the National Independent Beer Awards, which is organised by the Society of Independent Brewers.
Judi-mae Alderton, Marketing Manager at Lacons says: 'We're absolutely thrilled to have received this fantastic recognition for our ales. We are very proud.'
The brewery recently announced £1m plans to expand its Great Yarmouth brewery.
