Norwich City's success in the Premier League this season looks to be bringing further off-the-pitch success for the club.

The Canaries have announced a new retail store will be opening in Chapelfield Shopping Centre at the start of next month.

Davina Tanner, general manager at Chapelfield, confirmed the store will fill the former Pumpkin Patch unit on the lower ground floor and said: 'NCFC is such a huge part of Norfolk life, we know that our shoppers will be really excited to welcome the club into Chapelfield.

'2012 is looking extremely exciting for Chapelfield with several negotiations underway with new retailers and restaurants and Boux Avenue opening on Tuesday, April 17 with a visit from Theo Paphitis.

'But to have Norwich City moving into the shopping centre is certainly one of the highlights of our year so far.'

The new club shop is set to open on Thursday, May 3, adding to City's existing shops in The Mall Norwich and at Carrow Road, which will both continue to operate as normal.

Norwich City's head of sales and marketing, Will Hoy, said: 'This is a very exciting development for the football club in a prime retail shopping centre.

'This year we have achieved record shirt sales and sales of leisurewear and souvenirs have continued to grow.

'It is larger than the other stores we have, is in a prime ground floor location and we are very confident it will be a fantastic addition to the two other stores we have.'
