All the fun of the festival will be in Norwich's Chapelfield Gardens today come rain or shine.
The Norfolk and Norwich Festival's annual two-day Garden Party is taking place in the city park over the weekend and features an array of weird and wonderful free acts to entertain people of all ages.
While the forecast for Sunday is dry with sunny spells, on Saturday there is the chance of heavy showers later in the afternoon, however organisers have said the event will go ahead whatever the weather.
Mark Denbigh, head of production at Norfolk and Norwich Festival, said: 'The Garden Party will be going ahead whatever the weather.
'We've got a packed schedule of free events across the weekend in Chapelfield Gardens, from real life arcade games and giant origami through to circus, face painting and pop-up food stalls. We've also got more events by the Moon at the Forum.
'We'll only delay the start of a performance or cancel an event if the weather is so bad as to be deemed unfit for the performers or the audience.'
Chris Bell, a forecaster for UEA-based Weatherquest, said: 'The bulk of Saturday will be dry, through the morning, midday and up to 2pm.
'After that there is a risk of heavy showers from mid to late afternoon but they should clear away into the evening.
'It is probably a 30pc or 40pc chance of heavy showers for mid to late afternoon.
'Sunday looks dry with quite a bit of sunshine.'
He said temperatures could reach 16 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 18 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
The Garden Party is on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6pm in Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich, with more free events also taking place at The Forum.
