The future of CCTV provision within Lowestoft will come under scrutiny next week.

A major community meeting regarding the CCTV service in Lowestoft is being held at the Riverside offices in Canning Road at 6.30pm next Friday, February 16.

Organised by Lowestoft Town Council, the public meeting is being held as part of a comprehensive review of the CCTV provision. A spokesman for the town council said they were 'reviewing its CCTV service' and this public meeting is being held to 'review CCTV in the town,' with members of the public and key stakeholders in attendance.

The town council spokesman said: 'This service was passed to the town council by Waveney District Council when it created the town council and we want to ensure that it is the right service provided at the right cost and fit for the future.

'Help us review the service – come along and have your say.'
