Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Astronomical Association (LYRA) and Suffolk Wildlife Trust are running a special event about the night sky to mark the re-opening of the trust's Carlton Marshes education centre, near Lowestoft, this week.
The education centre will be opened on Wednesday after it has been re-furbished over the winter.
It has new windows, doors, floor, porch and gas boiler to ensure the building is a lot warmer and more energy efficient.
To mark the re-opening a Night Sky event has been arranged on Wednesday between 4pm and 6pm with members of LYRA showing people how to stargaze, weather permitting
Trust education officer Gemma Smith said: 'This really is a special event.
'There will be a fantastic opportunity to learn about the planets from the experts, find out how a telescope works and view a working model of our solar system.
'Weather permitting we will all have a go at star gazing with experienced astronomers. We'll be making night time lanterns and holding a quiz too.'
Carlton Marshes is a lowland nature reserve. It contains more than 100 acres of important habitats including flower rich meadows, wet grassland, reedbeds, marsh and alder woodland.
