A body found in marshland during the search for a missing Suffolk man is due to be formally identified tomorrow.

Police and coastguards found the body of a man in marshes around Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft, on Friday afternoon.

They had been searching for 47-year-old Vincent Ward who had been reported missing from his Carlton Colville home the day before.

Mr Ward, who is believed to be a teacher, was last seen on Thursday morning when his wife left for work.

A spokesman for Suffolk police has now said that formal identification of the body is expected to take place on Monday afternoon.

Mr Ward's wife is receiving family support assistance from police.
