A man was taken to hospital after he suffered a suspected stroke while driving and crashed into a wall.
The crash, which involved a Fiat Punto, happened in The Street at Trowse just before 3pm yesterday.
Police shut the road between the church and the White Horse pub while emergency services helped the man and made the scene safe.
Two fire crews from Norwich and Sprowston went to the scene to assist the police.
It is believed the man had crashed the car into the wall of his own home after the suspected stroke.
Police said it appeared the man had suffered 'life-changing injuries'.
