Four people were arrested after a car crashed into a hotel wall on Great Yarmouth seafront this morning.

Damage was caused to a low wall outside the Marine Lodge hotel on the corner of Euston Road and North Drive in the early hours.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said a grey Ford Focus crashed into the wall at about 5am.

'It was initially reported that the occupants of the vehicle had left the scene,' said the spokesman.

'Four people were later arrested and taken into custody.'

A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.

Two 20-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and drink driving.

A 22-year-old male was arrested in suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and failing to stop following a collision.
