Fakenham Racecourse is set for one of its busiest and most exciting events of the year - the New Year's Day meeting.
To get people in the mood, here we bring you stunning pictures of horse racing in Fakenham as many will have never seen before.
Using a remote camera and a fish eye lens, positioned just six feet away from the action, EDP photographer Matthew Usher caught these images from Fakenham's annual pre-Christmas meeting.
They perfectly encapsulate the drama, colour and excitement of horse racing.
Against the backdrop of a bright blue sky, the animals' athleticism and agility is there for all to see.
Gates open at 11am tomorrow. The first race is due to take place at 12.30pm, with the final race at 3.35pm.
